Robert T. David Sr. is an internationally recognized expert in Community Violence Intervention (CVI), behavioral change systems, and youth development. With more than three decades of experience spanning corrections, probation, juvenile justice, mental health services, workforce development, and violence prevention, he has dedicated his career to helping individuals and communities create lasting positive change.

As the Violence Prevention Manager for the City of Danville, Virginia, Robert leads one of the nation’s most innovative violence prevention ecosystems, bringing together government agencies, schools, community organizations, and businesses to create pathways toward safety, opportunity, and long-term success for youth and families.

Robert is the creator of Project Imagine and the Project Imagine Ecosystem, a nationally recognized framework that integrates behavioral science, credible-messenger practice, workforce readiness, and community engagement. He is also an international consultant, speaker, author, and trainer who works with cities, nonprofits, and organizations seeking effective approaches to violence prevention, leadership development, and youth empowerment.

Through conference presentations, workshops, and training events, Robert shares practical tools that help young people strengthen resilience, develop healthier decision-making habits, build confidence, and move toward their goals. He serves as the lead presenter and trainer for One Level Forward, an interactive skill-building card system designed to help youth and young adults develop emotional regulation, self-awareness, resilience, and life skills through small, achievable actions.
